These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the MatchWork platform (matchwork.gr). By registering or using the service, you accept these terms.
1. Definitions & acceptance
“Platform”: the MatchWork online service. “Worker”: a user seeking employment. “Business”: a user posting jobs and hiring.
If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. The service
MatchWork provides an online matching platform connecting workers and businesses. It is not an employment contract, employment agency, recruitment firm, immigration service, or legal/tax advisory service.
We do not employ workers on behalf of third parties, we do not sign employment contracts for users, and we do not act as agent or guarantor for either party.
Hiring terms, wages, working conditions, and any employment relationship are solely between worker and business, unless otherwise agreed explicitly outside the platform.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep credentials confidential.
You are responsible for activity on your account. MatchWork may suspend accounts for abuse or breach of these terms.
- False identity or use of third-party data without permission is prohibited
- Spam, malicious content, or circumventing matching is prohibited
4. Workers
Worker registration is free. Profiles must reflect real skills, availability, experience and — where stated — lawful work-authorization status.
Applications do not guarantee a response, hire, visa sponsorship, or work/residence permit from the business.
If you work or seek work in Greece as a third-country national (outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland), you are solely responsible for complying with applicable law before starting any job.
5. Businesses & payments
Businesses publish job listings on a pay-per-listing basis (14/30/60-day packages) or via Pro unlimited subscription. Pricing is shown on the pricing page.
There is no per-hire commission — you pay only for the listing package or Pro subscription. Payments are processed via Stripe.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

6. Matching & accuracy
Match scores are based on profile data and our scoring algorithm. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy or a specific hiring outcome.
We may update weights, thresholds, and features to improve the service.
7. Immigration, visas & third-country workers
MatchWork does not issue, secure, process, or guarantee visas, Visa D, work permits, residence permits, renewals, or any approval by Greek or foreign authorities.
A job listing, match score, invite, or message on the platform does not constitute a promise of visa sponsorship, legal support, or hiring of third-country nationals.
MatchWork does not systematically verify users' immigration or work-authorization status. Users must provide truthful, up-to-date information.
- Businesses must comply with Greek and EU law (employment, immigration, tax, insurance, hiring notifications where required)
- Workers must not misrepresent nationality, work permits, or the right to work in Greece
- Using the platform for illegal employment, work without authorization, or bypassing immigration/labour rules is prohibited
- Requesting or offering payment for “guaranteed visa” services via MatchWork is prohibited — we do not provide such services
8. Informational content
Blog posts, SEO pages, career guides, FAQs, chatbot/help content, and similar materials are provided for general information only.
They are not legal, immigration, labour, tax, or professional advice. They may be incomplete or outdated. For binding decisions, consult competent authorities (e.g. Greek Ministry of Migration & Asylum, EFKA, labour inspectorate, a lawyer).
Use of informational content does not create a client–adviser relationship with MatchWork.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Greek and EU law, MatchWork is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, lost revenue, lost opportunities, business interruption, or disputes between users.
MatchWork is not liable for visa/permit denials, expired permits, deportations, fines, taxes, social-security contributions, illegal employment, or decisions by authorities arising from hiring or cooperation between users.
Compliance with labour and immigration law, insurance, tax obligations, and accuracy of profile/listing data rests solely with the worker and/or hiring or publishing business.
The platform is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect matching accuracy, or a specific commercial outcome.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the platform. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Greek law. Courts in Greece have jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
